WORSHIP During The Upcoming Weeks …

With all of the regulations on public gatherings, our ability to gather at church facilities and worship together is hindered. However, our pastors and other ministry leaders are putting their God-given mental abilities to use and coming up with “safe” ways for us to hear The Word from God’s under-shepherds. Until we can PHYSICALLY gather together again, here’s what some ORBA congregation’s are offering:

BETHEL Baptist Church–Will only have on-line services until further notice.

CHRIST Baptist Church–Streaming Sunday messages from pastor’s Facebook page (Tim Traywick) at 10 a.m.

EASTERN HEIGHTS Baptist Church

Just a few updates for this week:

  • WEDNESDAY NIGHT FACEBOOK LIVE PRAYER/UPDATE EVENT – Wednesday nights at https://www.facebook.com/ehbcstatesboro/,  Jennifer Robertson will be premiering an exciting children’s ministry activity leading up to Easter and I’ll be sharing a brief devotion and we’ll join together in a time of prayer. Please pass along the opportunity to gather online this Wednesday @ 6:30 P.M. If you are the parent of a child, 5th grade and below, please sign up for future resources, videos, and updates @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/EHBCKids/.
  • Office Closed – our phones are forwarded to Tracey and she will answer as usual. She will also continue to do other work from home as will the rest of us. Please contact us if we can be of help to you in any way.
  • Tithing – we want to encourage you to continue to give. Online Giving is the easiest option at https://www.shelbygiving.com/App/Giving/east2380228. In addition to your regular tithe, you can also give to the Benevolence Fund (as is our custom on 5th Sunday’s) or Annie Armstrong to support North American Missionaries. Other giving options are mailing it to the church office or dropping off your check in the drop box located outside the office in the drive-through.
  • Online Service – we are pleased to announce that Grace Waits will be signing for the deaf this Sunday. Please help spread the word to any who might utilize this opportunity. We experienced a few technical things this past week concerning the availability time to watch the service. Service providers are also getting overloaded at the conventional times of 10:30-11:00 A.M. Our intention is to have it premier at 9:00 A.M. this Sunday in order for your family to experience worship at your convenience on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ehbcstatesboro/ or YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIRbMdrd4zkv9P8fBSqlYjA for video experience. Audio only is available at https://www.ehbcstatesboro.org/downloads.
  • Our Deacons, staff and others are checking in with our members, especially our Sr. Adults. To be better able to assist our most at-risk church members in these uncertain times, we are getting together a list of people who would be able and willing to provide assistance to quarantined families and individuals. We’re looking for young, healthy volunteers to help with errands for those quarantined. Those who can’t run errands are needed to be available to make phone calls to check in with folks and offer prayer and encouragement. Many of our church family might be feeling lonely and isolated. We could use members to reach out and offer to pray and talk to those suffering from illness or loneliness. You can also contact us if you know of any in need for help or encouragement.

If you are willing to be on a call list for those in need, please contact Andrew (912-682-6071) or Rachel Wachniak (901-305-4030)

  • There is also a Prayer Request tab on our website www.ehbcstatesboro.org where you can share prayer concerns.
  • Uturn parents – be sure to show your middle schoolers this short message from Grace Waits https://youtu.be/GY0BLltH6MQ
  • Zone/Uturn Parents – be sure your teens get the links to the podcasts from Brad…
